TEAM CURRENT STATE
Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich meet in the Champions League 2016-17 group stage on Wednesday.
Both sides kicked off their Champions League campaign off with big wins, albeit in differing fashion.
The defending German champs destroyed Rostov 5-0 in their opener at home in an offensive display that has the team back at its best. Atletico won 1-0 at PSV Eindhoven, though the squad needed a big penalty save from goalie Jan Oblak to secure the three points.
The two sides met last season in a famous semifinal that saw that German side lose across both legs thanks to goal differential. Atletico won the opening game 1-0 at home before losing 2-1 in Munich; that game also featured a penalty stop from Oblak.

Bayern have scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last 10 matches in the UEFA Champions League.

Bayern Munich have made a very impressive start to the season under Carlo Ancelotti.
